We admired the Pyramids of Egypt; we marveled with the Great Wall of China and we were dumbfounded by the design of the Taj Mahal. We took time and traveled to see them and returned with pictures to show friends and we passionately talked about them endlessly. PM Meles indicates the importance of common African position on upcoming climate change conference (August 4, 2009)Africa's interest and position will not be muffled as has usually been the case when each African country speaks for itself or tries to do so  on behalf of Africa with out the necessary mandate, he added. He further said Africa's interest is not, to claim compensation for climate change and its damages rather it is to prevent that from happening. "That is our primary interest precisely because Africa's eco-systems are among the most fragile in the world and hence highly vulnerable to catastrophic changes due to small changes in temperature," he added.Meles further said "we want to quickly adopt green technologies among other things because we do not have the dead weight of massive investment in dirty technologies."
The Army chief said capability of the Army has been built on reliable foundation to defend the Sovereignty of the Country.
The chief said outstanding mission accomplishment of the army in international peacekeeping missions is a demonstration of its dependable status.
